To promote the unique mobile sharing capabilities of the Galaxy SIII smartphone, Samsung used Blue Bite to embed high-traffic OOH media spaces with NFC. NFC-embedded posters featured people holding a Galaxy SIII. When consumers with an SIII held their phone against the poster, a free song, video, or e-book was instantly downloaded to their device. Because free content was only available via NFC, Samsung-envy helped the Galaxy SIII out-sell the iPhone during the campaign.
